Saliva prints

photograms of artist saliva, B&W large format photo-paper

Through a microscopic view of the discarded bodily fluid, something often found disgusting, becomes beautiful, familiar, but yet unknown. Retaining qualities of glass or other fluid materials, the rings of the bubbles resemble a topographical map of the moon surface or suggestions to other relatable images. It is in this relationship between the body and its existence that offers the question of existence and challenges socially constructed perceptions of beauty.
